What is GInsure Bill Protect?

GInsure Bill Protect is an insurance that covers the Insured against accidental death and permanent disablement which renders the Insured unable to earn and settle his payment obligations. The Group Policy pays out a lump sum benefit which covers up to thirty-six months (three years) of the GCash bill payment amount at time of enrolment.

Who will be the Insured upon payment of bill?

The Insured is the GCash account owner who has successfully paid a selected bill and the premium due for GInsure Bill Protect via his GCash account. Example: John pays for his father’s bill via his GCash account and enrolls it to GInsure Bill Protect. John is the Insured.

To whom is the benefit payable?

The benefit is payable to the Insured (GCash user), or in case of the Insured’s death, to the beneficiary designated by the Insured, or in the absence of beneficiary designation, to the person or persons in the following order of preference:

  • legal spouse
  • children
  • parents
  • brothers and sisters.

Is there a maximum benefit amount for GInsure Bill Protect?

The total cumulative benefit amount is PHP 3.6 million at the period of coverage overlap. Chubb will apply the maximum benefit limit cap at point of claim.

How long will I be covered by availing GInsure Bill Protect?

Thirty (30) calendar days, effective on the day of successful GCash Pay Bills transaction with enrollment to GInsure Bill Protect, after which coverage will end.

You may enroll and pay the premium again when you make another GCash bill payment, upon which your coverage will reset for another calendar month.

How can I enroll to GInsure Bill Protect?

You can enroll a bill to GInsure Bill Protect as add-on every time you make a Pay Bills transaction via the GCash app.

Can I enroll to more than one (1) GInsure Bill Protect?

Yes, the more bills paid and enrolled with GInsure Bill Protect, the bigger the lumpsum benefit amount will be under the covered period.

How much should I pay for my GInsure Bill Protect?

The premium is computed as Bill Payment Amount x 0.920%.

Who can enroll for GInsure Bill Protect cover?

You can enroll to GInsure Bill Protect if you:

  • are within 18-75 years old
  • are a Filipino or legal Philippine resident
  • have a GCash account
  • are to pay a biller in Pay Bills via GCash app

How many GInsure Bill Protect insurance cover can I enroll to?

You will have the opportunity to enroll a bill every time you make a Pay Bills transaction via the GCash app. The more bills paid and enrolled under GInsure Bill Protect, the bigger the lump sum benefit amount will be under the covered period.

Is there a maximum transaction limit?

GCash has a maximum total transaction amount per fully verified user which is Php 100,000.00 per month. Cap for the insurable amount will follow the same limits. Lump sum benefit cap will hence be: Php 100,000 x 36 months = Php 3.6M.

Can another person apart from the individual whose name is reflected on the bill be insured? (ex. What if John pays for his father’s utility bill using his GCash account?)

Yes. The Insured is the GCash account owner who has successfully paid a selected bill and the premium due via his GCash account.

Are all bill types eligible for GInsure Bill Protect?

Yes, all biller categories are eligible for GInsure Bill Protect.

How do I file a claim?

Visit the Chubb Claims Centre at www.chubbclaims.com.ph and submit your claim from anywhere and on any device. You will also have real time access to your claims status. Customer Service and Claims business hours : Mondays to Fridays: 8:30AM to 5:30PM

What are the requirements when filing a claim?

Claims Documentary Requirements:

  1. Valid ID of the Insured (GCash User) or of the Beneficiary of the GCash User
  2. Birth & Death Certificates of the Insured
  3. Proof of Relationship to Beneficiary
  4. Attending Physician’s Report
  5. Original Copy of Police Report
  6. Notarized Affidavit of Witness
  7. Autopsy Report or Medico-Legal Statement

Cancellation

Can I cancel my insurance cover?

You can request cancellation of your cover during the free-look period which is within 7 days from the time of successful Pay Bills transaction with enrollment to GInsure Bill Protect. If you cancel within this period, the premium will be refunded to your GCash wallet in full. If you cancel after this period, no refund will be made.

  • Self-inflicted injury
  • Suicide
  • Criminal or illegal act
