How it Works

The sender may choose among the GCash accredited International Remittance partners available in their country.

For Remittance Centers

Sender has to go to the remittance center and fill out the remittance form, provide beneficiary’s complete name as registered in the GCash app, their GCash mobile number, present a valid ID and pay. The remittance is processed within a few minutes and the beneficiary will receive an SMS notification that a remittance was sent to his/her GCash wallet. Money received may now be used to buy load, pay bills, shop online and pay QR.

For Online Partners

Sender must register either through the partner website or app, provide all needed information together with the beneficiary’s complete name as registered in the GCash app and their GCash mobile number. The remittance is processed within a few minutes and the beneficiary will receive an SMS notification that a remittance was sent to his/her GCash wallet. Money received may now be used to buy load, pay bills, shop online and pay QR.

Who can receive the remittances?

The service is only available to GCash fully verified users.

How do I get verified?

Is there a limit to the amount I can receive?

Yes. Your GCash wallet can only receive up to Php 100,000/month for fully verified regular users and Php 500,000/month for fully verified payroll users, as mandated by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

What is the applicable currency exchange rate?

The currency exchange rate is determined by the remittance partner from the country where the money was sent. All international remittances received in the GCash wallet will be converted automatically to Philippine Peso.
